The last two weeks have been quite a ride. Highs, lows, that feeling of anticipation as you hear the click, click, click of the tracks as your car ascends the hill...anticipation, queasiness...I've been all over the place emotionally.
James and Claire seem to be handling the changes fairly well thus far. Having a working mom is new to them (and to me). Mariz has been a star: gracious, caring and (as always) cheerful.
There is still SO much to do. My classroom is not ready and I'm not sure that it will be by Friday afternoon. On the positive side, I now have my access card so I can get into my room over the weekend. I think Claire would like to help get the classroom ready so hopefully we can work on it together.
I will be ready before Monday. I will. Can't wait for the students to arrive. They always bring so much energy and fun into the mix. It appears that grade six classes will be at 20 students per class (at least for now---that could change).
Flat hunting (which my husband has been handling) has also been a roller coaster ride. The owner of the flat we LOVED isn't serious about selling. The price seems to change daily. Complete chaos. Tom found another flat yesterday. I don't like the building as much although it does have a lot of facilities. I'm going to check out the unit later today. It probably has more potential as an investment (but my heart still longs for the other building). I'm keeping an open mind, though.
Should catch a bit more sleep. Another busy day ahead!
