James in Car

This morning on the way to school:

"Do you know what's a little bit weird about Uncle Peter?"

"No, James. What?"

"Well, his children are older than you but his wife is only 24."

After explaining that his uncle's sense of humor is similar to his father's, James is quiet for a little while. Then:

"Mom, are you old?"

"Ahhh...No."

"Yes, you are. You're 41. I'm only 5."

A Save Caught in Pictures

his is kind of cool---the puck ended up behind the net and no one was moving it. I made the executive decision to dive upon it and Victor Kwok, photographer extraordinaire, captured the moment:

Bring It On!!!

Sorry it's been so quiet---crazy week with the Hockey 5's. Team Daikyo WIHO got off to a slow start this tournament, but we finally gelled in our game against the Bangkok C Girls.

Results thus far:

L 1-3 vs. CCHA Warriors (They are the #1 seed---undefeated in the round robin)

W 5-0 vs. Empire Skate Girls (I didn't have a single shot on me during this game)

L 0-1 vs. Dosukoi Japan (We came out very flat---they scored early in the 1st period; We outplayed them during the second and third period but couldn't put the puck in the net.)

W 2-0 vs. Bangkok C Girls (We outplayed them the entire game---their goalie was hot today! Nero Lam of Daikyo WIHO and the Bangkok goalie were both game MVP's.)

Semi finals are early tomorrow morning against Dosukoi Japan. We can beat them. I hope everyone one comes ready to play from the moment we step on the ice.

Tested: Absolut and a straw will work wonders for removing trapped water in ears. (Forgot those darn eardrops again---Claire ALWAYS gets water stuck in her ears.) Suck some Absolut in the straw, pinch, and then release a few drops in each ear.
