Hallelujah! I love it when I have more time for something than I originally thought. I've been struggling over the last 10 days with Module 6 of my Tech Innovations class. The first three activities were no problem. But then...I had to make a podcast. Audacity, Lame Encoder...my eyes began to blur. I wasn't sure what program to use...ended up using Windows Movie Maker. I saved my file in an unsupported format...had to figure out how to save it as a wav and then convert it to an mp4. Finished! Yes! Not incredible...but okay. I definitely need to buy a better microphone (instead of using my webcam) to record---tried to do that at two places this week but neither stocked the type of microphone I wanted. My podcast is called Lion Dance.
Next part of the module is making a screencast. My eyes have begun to glaze over again, especially since I thought it was due by today (well, tomorrow U.S. time). However, I've rechecked the course calendar and the actual due date is March 9. Yes!!! (I cannot procrastinate, though. I want to finish this and it will take a lot longer than originally planned. It always does.)
Hopefully I'll be able to blog more frequently once this is finished...I definitely will be able to once my course ends on March 27th. My life will be my own again!!! (This is a great course, though. Just time consuming.)
