Today I read The Incredible Book Eating Boy to the extended and full day students in Antarctica class. They really got a kick out of the story. I then hung around South Horizons as I had to pick James and a friend up after school.
A few minutes before 3:00, another mom (whom I did not recognize) walked up to me. She said that she volunteered in the library and that James sometimes came in while she was there. The mom then went on to say that James is very smart and inquisitive. However, the quality that she most enjoyed about him was that he was so well-spoken.
That blew me away. How far James has come! From a 3-year-old who couldn't talk when he started school to a 5 1/2 year old with an extensive vocabulary.
This other mom probably had no idea just how much her observation meant to me
